Focus area: Pubs
Regulator concerned: Local Authority or Fire Authority
Comment:
As a publican we need to promote our business now more than ever as many pubs fall outside the business rate cap of 12k in Wales- thus you may find you you compete with a smaller establishment on an unfair basis as the size of your pub reflects historical footfall not todays. Councils requesting you to take signs down offering your products or services are a total pain. We pay our non domestic rates so why try to stop economic activity and charge you with a planning application. Council workers live in a risk free enviroment thus they have no sense on keeping your head above water. Please cut down on regulations that act as a death wish to business.
